Macaroni and Cheese with Asiago Crumb Topping

Serving Size: 6
Ingredients
1 lb macaroni
1½ cups fresh bread crumbs
¾ cup freshly grated Asiago cheese
1 teaspoon paprika
8 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
6 tablespoons all purpose flour
6 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 cups grated white cheddar cheese
1½ tablespoons parsley
Directions
1. In a small mixing bowl combine bread crumbs, Asiago cheese, and paprika.
2. Melt 6 tablespoons of butter in a large saucepan. Stir in flour. Gradually add milk, whisk until it begins to thicken – about 8 minutes.
3. Add cheddar, parsley, and pepper.
4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
5. Cook macaroni per package directions.
6. Grease the bottom of a large glass baking dish.
7. Mix together pasta and sauce. Transfer to baking dish, dot with remaining butter and bake for 30 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and sprinkle top with bread crumb mixture. Set aside until cool.
Freezing Directions
1. Once cool divide macaroni into desired portions and place in freezer safe containers.
2. Good fozen 2-3 months.
Defrosting Directions
1. Remove portion from the freezer.
2. Place in the refrigerator for apporximately 24 hours or remove from freezer container and place on microwave safe plate and defrost until thawed.
